Queen's Blade Grimoire is coming!

The 3rd series coming after Queen's Blade Rebellion, here's what the Hobby Japan Magazine revealed about it:

As commented before, it's supposed to take place in a multiverse parallel to the "Continent" we know, with just a basic "tournament" storyline and a new atmosphere to it, and besides the little snippet in the pic above, no more info is known about it.
It's safe to assume the beautiful fighter in high heels and a mantle is the main char this time around.
Presumably, the text in the orange box is just recapping the already mentioned info, since it mentions it's being developed along with Rebellion's witch, Werbellia.

  1. That means QB will become the fantasy version of Gundam and Digimon?

    1. There's just no more available info.

If I had to make an educated guess, though, maybe next month they'll open the "Grimoire" section in the QB site, with a prologue-like thing that hopefully explains a little about the titular grimoire and reveals the face of our heroine here, and maybe a few months after that the first QBG gamebook gets released.

    2. It seems we are not going to get any other Originals get turned into Rebellion...

No Rebellion Risty it seems. :V

...Yet I still see a Grimoire Aldra coming for some reason. >;3

    3. I still have faith that we're gonna get Rebellion Maria, Claudette and the others, it'd be a waste of redesign otherwise... If they didn't plan to release them, I think they'd have done like Alleyne, Airi and Nanael, not update them and maybe show them only for a bit.

Not sure about a Grimoire Aldra, but since it seems to be about magic books, maybe it's the witch who comes back, who knows.

  3. Hopefully this is a sign that they want to improve upon the fight sequences; which is an area I've always thought that they could improve upon.

  4. Hmmm.. what was wrong with the fights? Other than just being a bit over the top and showing some sort of extraordinary destructive power each time two Queen's Blade characters clashed.

    1. Don't get me wrong, a lot do result in destruction due to the great display of power, but there's also those that have left me quite underwhelmed. Not to mention the inconsistencies within character strengths and weaknesses - but I'm not sure if I can really blame them for that when that's commonplace in a lot of fiction.

    2. considering the fact that we dont know how powerful certain characters can get, we cant really determine absolute inconsistencies with most characters. also taking into the fact of how limited the characters were at the time, im sure you would feel underwhelmed.

Is Rebellion even over yet? O.o

    1. It's almost over. Rebellion's story will end next month, I'm expecting a databook detailing everyone's "endings" next year, and there seems to be general consensus about the anime getting a 2nd season soon.

They're probably aiming at having Grimoire properly developed by the time Rebellion is truly over.

    2. You mean like the Vanquished Queen's book?

And I really want there to be a second season of QBR. Are they saying it's its own series seperate from QB?

And Grimoire sounds interesting, with Werbellia finally getting screentime hopefully. ^^U

    3. I meant more like the QB Perfect Visual Book (that is being released this year in english, with the QB chars' endings), but for the Rebellion series.

If the more than probable Rebellion second season gets aired (they'd be crazy not to), Werbellia is sure to appear.

With Grimoire in a different location and with a different setting, it'll probably be all new characters...

    4. Probably for the best, it is kinda getting cluttered.

Though, I wish Lyla and Vante had been given more of a chance...
