Queen's Blade: Return of Amara, Prologue-e

The angel finally introduces herself (lol), and the battle officially starts?

Enjoy!

“Give me this oasis and its men.”
The angel couldn’t reply faster if she tried.
“Err...”
"Why worry? The Amara Kingdom died a long time ago. Trying to restore it now is stupid!"
“The Amara Kingdom did not perish! As long as I’m here, it’ll live on forever~”
“So you’re not gonna give them to me... in that case, let’s try this.”
The angel snapped her fingers, making a small crystal ball appear in her hand. Flickering inside it was a statue of a goddess crossing both swords before her chest.
Only the crystal balls granted to qualified participants of the Queen’s Blade could display the goddess of the swords, the symbol of the Queen’s Blade.

“We’ll settle it with the rules you humans have.”
“Are you perhaps challenging me to a preliminary fight?”
Menace was all smiles now.
“Of course. If I win, I’m getting this oasis and the men. What’s your condition?”
“My condition?”
Menace tilted her head. What could she possibly request from this angel who had suddenly shown up to challenge her?
“Hey, Milady. If there’s nothing you want, then ask for that thing hangin’ by her waist.”
Menace only noticed the small bottle on the angel after Setra pointed it out.
“Yes, good idea, milk is good for your body... I understand. I’ll accept this match.”
“We’re good then: your oasis for my Holy Milk.”
Nanael’s mouth curved into a grin.

‘Fight without spilling the Holy Milk’; that was the condition imposed upon her to be in this world. Therefore, if she was defeated, not a drop of Holy Milk would be left for Menace. A win-win situation.
Unaware of the angel’s plot, Menace held up her crystal ball, reaffirming herself with the resolve to fight.
The goddess of the swords flickered in this crystal, shiny and slippery from the massage oil.
“Angel of Light, Nanael.”
As she introduced herself, her crystal gently rose from her hand.
“I am Menace, the Ancient Princess.”
The two crystals left their hands and floated into the air, emitting a dazzling radiance. Magic characters projected into the air.

“Skirmish approved.”
The crystals floating in the air would only return to their owner when the battle was over. Normally, a stone statue acting as a judge of the match would materialize, but this time the battlefield was indoors.
“Get ready, I’ll kick you out of this oasis in no time and you can go back to being a mummy!”
“I’ll have to decline.”
Menace answered calmly and readied her scepter.
“Sitaara, you may take off the blindfold now~”
After receiving permission, the first thing he saw were the figures of the angel and his princess, Menace, about to fight each other.

To maintain the environment of the Khan Oasis, small fountains were installed around the square. These fountains had a certain function, just as they did in the ancient Amara dynasty.
They could communicate to convey the might of the royal family to their subjects. Linked to Menace's crystal ball, the fountains were now displaying her geared up for combat.
“Skirmish approved.”
When they were projected, people gathered en masse around the closest fountain, cheering for the princess they adored.

“All you people who enjoy Queen’s Blade, after watching, how about a magic disk or a sculpture? Please visit Hans' souvenir shop for all your needs!”
Before fighting, Menace gave quite an idiotic statement.
“W-What was that?”
The angel couldn’t help but retort. She had never heard of a warrior advertising before a preliminary battle.
“Well, we were promised by Mister Hans that if we said this before a fight, he'd pay us modern money.”
The princess replied honestly, with Setra at the ready.
