Queen's Blade: Sword of the Unicorn, chapter 4-k

For the Tartarus poll, "What's a Tartarus?", "Some are good!" and "I love them!" won very closely to each other with 12v-37%, 10v-31% and 9v-28%. "I don't really like them..." got 1v-3%, and no one voted for "I hate them!"
Well, not bad for a first impression, let's see how funky the rest of the cast gets, shan't we? :3

Now next poll, new Pokemon I hear?

As for the story, things are heating up! Time to enter the climax!

Enjoy!

“Now the real battle begins.”
Despite her blushing cheeks, Leina took aim at Airi.
Standing there, making no effort to hide her swinging breasts from view and yet still refusing to back down… somehow gave her nude form somewhat of dignified look, maybe even saintly...
“I could ask for nothing better.”
The maid took a ready stance, her scythe still clad in lesser spirits.

This was their final bout.
The heiress was on her last legs.
And the maid was done playing. She may have been supported by the magic circle, but its powers were finite.
Not to mention once she was done with Leina, she’d likely have another challenger to deal with in Tomoe. A warrior priestess whose sole purpose in life was keeping the world safe from evil and otherworldly beings represented an all the more worrisome opponent to the wraith than Leina ever could.

“Haaaah!”
Releasing a heavy breath, the Exiled Warrior kicked up from the stone pavement. Reading her action as a charge, the maid jumped back.
“You won’t get away from me!”
But faster than the redhead could retreat, Leina took yet another incredibly step forward-- almost sending her flying-- that brought her plunging into Airi’s bosom.

The Vance girl’s fierce rush after losing her armor meant Airi had her hands full dodging her sword, but that was hardly much of a concern.
Now that her opponent had no armor, about the only tactic she could employ was to keep attacking, being devoid of any means of defense.
The Infernal Temptress on the other hand, had powerful allies in the lesser spirits floating around her. As they watched her foe’s movements from their various angles, they whispered every detail of them to her. As long as she calmly listened, she had nothing to fear.

“Take this!”
With one swift motion, Leina’s sword came from the side.
[No! That’s actually a thrust, feingint as a side swing.]
Guided by the whispers all around her, she held the biggest advantage.
“And this is how it ends.”
She swung her scythe into the thrusting sword.

*CLOOONG*
The sound of a heavy collision reverberated.
“Guh!”
The blow’s impact rippled past Leina’s wrist, causing her to scream out in pain and drop her sword. Leina’s posture was shot the moment she lost her armor, and without the chance to adjust, her arm stood no chance of taking the full brunt of the impact.

“And now, you’re unarmed.”
“I’m not done yet!”
Not even flinching after being made to part with her sword, Leina kicked out with one of her long legs.
The high kick merely rustled Airi’s bangs.
“Are you really in such a hurry to die?”
The faintly glowing maid’s weapon then cut through the blonde’s soft fair skin, scattering blood onto the stone pavement like a flower in mid bloom.

Reflexively, Tomoe brought a hand to her sword and jumped forward.
“Miss Leina!”
But the blonde held a hand up to stop her.
“But…”
Leina remained silent, her gaze fixed on her foe: the fight wasn’t over yet.
Did she really intend to fight to the very end…?

“Oh, she’s in some deep shit now.”
The elf sighed.
“Isn’t that your cue, kid?”
Fio closed his eyes and focused his consciousness on the Sword of the Unicorn.
[Although driven up against a wall, her will to fight hasn’t faded yet. This intense burning spirit coming from my other half is proof enough of that.
In which case, I’d better damn respond!]
“It’s official! Leina, we’re forming a contract! Thou art acknowledged as the owner of the Sword of the Unicorn!”
He opened his eyes and shouted.
“Let’s fight together!”
