  2. Oh schneeps! :3

Just out of curiosity, do your updates include changes to your program or is it just adding more characters? :3

    1. Lately it's mostly new chars, and for them to have proper battles in Arcade Mode and stuff. All the changes are included in the readme, anyways.

If I have time this summer, I'll try to refine/improve some features (like challenge 3v3, that I had almost forgotten), we'll see.

    2. I'm busy with school, but I'll do what I can. Would you object to me adding Dlanor A Knox as a character? I'm gathering images of her as I speak. When I'm finished I'll just send you the folder directly.

She's an Umineko character, technically from a different series as she appears later on in the visual novels. She's kinda based on her incarnation in the doujin fighter, basically kinda tanky (Her ability is Armor Boost, which allows her to take less damage temporarily). It'll be my first attempt at creating a new character. ^^; Hope it turns out to your liking.

    3. That'd be great, she looks cool, and I wouldn't miss the chance to add a char from another fighting game into the mix (and with weird tagging mechanics, to boot :D).

I recommend taking a look at the "custom guide" up there for pointers, searching pics at DeviantArt, Danbooru and Pixiv (though the latter needs registering, and searches with japanese names), and if you can reach from 50 to 70 nice varied pics, that'd be amazing.

  3. I got 36 minus 2 cover pages so far. I'll dig around for more. I have a pretty good idea how she should work.

    1. Woah, that's impressive for your first try, you even nailed her special moves and everything, kudos to you.

  4. There are probably a couple images I could've done better with but overall I think this should suffice.

  5. I changed the parrying image to something a bit more suitable.

  6. Ougon Musou Kyoku is a pretty fun doujin fighter. It's different in that you don't gain meter for yourself but for your tag partner, and each character has their own ability which manages to balance out nicely.

    1. I considered for some time having Dlanor gain sp like this when in tag battles, but it'd actually be quite disadvantageous for her.

Instead of that, I guess she'll have extended tagging out options, moreso than those Runesword chars or whatever.

    2. Whatever works. There are some mechanics that can't be translated easily. As long as she gets temporary half score with Armor Boost and the Metaworld gauge is simulated it should be fine. It regenerates when emptied, costs 1 SP to activate and due to how Metaworld works, lasts a number of turns equal to the number of turns it hasn't been used since, up to a maximum number or full gauge, and can only be used when said Meta gauge is above 50%.

    4. That sounds like your .NET installation isn't really working well (especially with the error in mscorlib.dll), so please try to follow this advice from my FAQ page above:

If you keep getting errors on startup (especially if they mention a "Core 3.5.0.0" or "System.ServiceModel"), you might need to uninstall .NET 1.0 and 2.0, and search and reinstall .NET 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0, and that should fix it.

Also, try and use the last version of the game (39.0), so that if you still get a vertical scrollbar, you can to fix it manually with the "scroll bar correction" parameter in the "system.cfg", maybe the value:-175 would work.

  7. what is this number besides new attack that i can change?
what do the page,p2 and mod stand for in battle?i think page is the damage you cause to the opponent?
can't i just update this net 1 or 2 that i have?even better, when i download the ones you mention and install, won't the old versions uninstall automatically?if not how remove them?
finally i downloaded version 39,can i transfer all my character files from the older versions i have to this 39 version and play them?
sorry about the many questions but i am bit of a noob.
    thx

    1. Well, let's see:
-The number besides new attack is the number of the attack you want to use. You can change it manually, or just by bringing up the list of attacks and selecting one of them, and it'll enter the number for you.
-"Page" is precisely the number I was talking above, "P2" is the long-range equivalent (you don't need to bother about those two if you just select them instead of entering them manually), and "mod" is the damage modifier to add to the "score" in each wound page.
-I'm not sure if updating the old .NET versions will fix it, I googled a bit and people recommend you uninstall those and install the newest ones. As for how to uninstall, just going to the "Control Panel" and going through the usual "Uninstall Program" should be enough...
-Yes, you can transfer all the character files to the new version, there shouldn't be any problem.

  8. i checked it and have microsoft.net framework 4 client profile.
i am ok,right?also got the newest 39 version of the game but still the gray, dissapearing bottom(all other errors still havent appeared though which is great) still happens when fullscreening.guess i could just play halfscreen.

finally, you pretty much say that all those mods mean nothing of the game?any way i can know which chances to take and what damage i can do with which attack?
If any of you arrive at a page that has a "score", you're able to damage your
opponent if the attack's damage plus the score damage is greater than zero- how y know the damage of each attack to calculate?
how do i know how much damage to do till i get there?to calculate my next move?and sometimes i lose some serious bp without being in a score page, why?
    thanks for the responses.

    1. I already said that "mod" is the attack's damage, so you add it to the "score", and that's the number of Body Points the enemy loses after your attack...
