QB Anthology 7

Another chapter of the anthology, this time a battle at the bath-house by another hentai mangaka, Mizuki Hitoshi (for some reason, most of them are, lol). Download it here:

  1. That Maid gag never gets old. I should think Airi and Cattleya would have a score to settle from Queen's Blade, but if this is their first confrontation, then meh.

    The new features work splendidly, but I had problems trying to assign sounds to 7 Stakes' Blade of Light. It won't register the critical hit sound I assigned to 7 Stakes for their weapon. If this works, maybe we can assign sounds to different attacks and techniques instead of weapons.

  2. This volume predates the QB anime by two years, so no Airi-Lana-Cattleya subplot existed yet, I think.

    And well, forgot to test critical sounds myself, maybe it sounds when you get criticalled, my bad :p Though, the idea is to also assign weapons to different attacks and techniques, probably with yet another file.

    1. Well it works both ways. Two sounds play for each character's move, which can seem kinda awkward. But it's nice to hear a swoosh and then a cut. So you get crit sounds if either you or your opponent land one. Assigning it to weapons is all well and good, but I was hoping I could include particular sounds for hitting someone with Perfect Maid and the like. Or when the 7 Stakes land a crit, you hear the clash.wav from Umineko.

      That's alright though. Both characters work fine, but I don't think Homura can retrieve her weapon after she loses it. This one I can't fix.

  3. It used to be only one sound per turn, but now it should be one for every character, so it's probably hit/miss, miss/miss or clash/clash. By the end of the day, I'll fix Homura's procure weapon typo, the critical sounds and add 2v2 challenge (was harder than I thought, meh :p).

    As for the extra sound file, it'll be more like saying "Jabs have a Punch weapon", or "Perfect Maid has a Shock weapon", or "Block High has a Shield weapon", to still set sounds for the Punch, Shock or Shield weapons with the current sound file.

  5. I get it. I just hope it's not a problem for anyone else who likes hearing just one sound. I don't wanna be a bother to anyone here. ^^'

  6. It's not much of a deal anyways, if someone prefers a single-sound version, I can add a simple option for that.

    @Luis: Hm... I guess I forgot about that, sorry. But if it's just setting specific music when fighting specific chars, sure, I'll add that.

    1. The fix is much better. I can make do with simply adding special sounds for a character's critical hits until they can be assigned to specific attacks. I've got some new stuff I cribbed from the Umineko sound folder which could make good sounds for the game. I'll share them.
