QB Battle 24.5

Megaupload: App + Media (update) + Extra + Fanmade
Sendspace: App + Media (update) + Extra + Fanmade

Added the recent Noel Vermillion:

Since Hongfire is unavailable, updated the Translations page with the text translations of the unedited chars so far (if someone with some kind of editing skills could grab those and translate the books, it'd be awesome).
And while on the subject of translations, I'm about to commission the translation of Vanquished Queens, so that should fill some of the blanks in the "post QB/pre-Rebellion story" soon.

Coming next: Komachi and Storm (now for real), and maybe alternate Ivy too.

Edit (09-20): Fix in case that the game glitches after selecting any character, because of the file with the "banned chars": Megaupload/Sendspace

  1. Thank you so much for this update! (And all others.) Noel is so adorable, and awesome!

I was hoping they would have some of her MU-12 form attacks, but it's all fine since that would have to be a completely different character.

    REVOLVER BLAST!!!!

  2. Anybody finding Noel to be quite dominant? In 11 of my matches, she's only lost once!

  3. kinda slow here...I wonder if ayrawinla left us...

  4. Yep, it gets kinda boring here without a nice discussion going on...
Anyways, QG Taki is about to come out, I hope she has at least some flashy attacks, unlike Ivy.

  5. Story mode still crashes when it gets to any battle...least regular free mode isn't doing it anymore.

  6. Wait, it crashes in story mode? That doesn't happen to me, what's the error you get?

  7. Let me pull it up real quick and see...

  8. Ah, I do remember that "System.Core" error, I think that happens when your Microsoft Visual C++ version isn't updated.
Can you check the FAQs page, install the 32/64 bit update for that thingie and let me know if it works okay?

  9. A discussion?
l think Saber isn't that tough.
She regenerates but has not much BP.
Okami, you think Saber is more like Mirim or Tomoe?

  10. @Luis Carlos

I haven't played with Saber yet...was waiting for official release...nobody commented on Noel though!

  11. Yeah, it won't update...it looks like it is, then just closes and msiexec.exe runs in the background, but just sits there forever.

  12. I un-installed all versions of C++ 2005, then tried again...still won't do anything...I already have 2008, so why do I even need 2005 to begin with?

Also, the game gets the same error with just 2008 installed...something about the story mode is just buggy, since everything else works fine as far as I know.

  13. I use 2005, 2008 or 2010...same result...crashes in Story mode with the same error every time.

    So that's all I got...

  14. So those links are from VS 2005? Didn't notice that, I'm using the 2010 version for the game myself.
But still, if it says "System Core version 3.5.0.0", it has to be the 3.5 Framework, so could you try this one?

(Although I wonder why the Story Mode, of all things, crashes)

  15. There must be some kind of bug when it loads the battles, since it all works fine until I hit the fight button...then it gives me that error.

And I installed .NET 3.5...even though I already had 4.0 extended...still the same...all I can think is uninstall all the older versions and just keep 4.0? Because I know I needed 4.0 for something.

  16. It doesn't really make any sense, the function where it's supposedly failing (the first one up there) only compares two names to see if you have the characters, it simply shouldn't glitch ever.

By googling it, I see the "System Core version 3.5.0.0" is a really common error, try to get the 3.5 sp1, or just the 4.0... I just don't get what's wrong.

  17. I have no idea either...the error is just too general to really figure out what the problem is to fix it...and if it only checks to see if you have the characters, and I do...and they all work in every other mode...then I have no idea.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Okay, I fixed it...works fine now...had to uninstall every version of .NET except 4.0...then the program wouldn't even start...so I got 3.5 as well...and it works fine...I guess 1.0 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0 were causing some kind of conflict, I guess...so if anyone else has this problem, they know how to fix it.

  19. That's great, I'm glad to hear it could be fixed.
I'll add that info to the FAQs, thanks for letting me know, and sorry for the trouble.
