Queen's Blade: Return of Amara, Ch 3-h

Last part of chapter 3, to be continued soon!

Enjoy!

“It’ll be fine. A warrior doesn’t only fight straight on, that’s what Captain said. And, Nowa can count on Lou to protect her if push comes to shove.”
From the top of a tree, the pink-colored monkey jumped down onto her shoulder.
“Ki-, kikii, ki-ki!”
Upon hearing the monkey’s cries, Nowa’s expression tensed right away.
“What’s wrong?”
“No talking, let’s hide in those bushes!”
Leading him by the hand, she got them both into the bushes nearby.
“What is it?”
“Shht!”
She put a finger on his lips.

“Lou’s saying that the Devil Setra is coming.”
As the half-elf whispered that to him, a specter passed through the sky above them, leaving a pale trail in the starry sky, with a speed that almost rivaled a shooting star’s!
“So that’s Devil Setra…”
Nowa’s eyes twinkled with curiosity.
“Wow~, I wonder how he flies. He was releasing a soft light from his buttocks, like *wooosh*.”
Her eyes captured the devil’s details for but a moment.
“Nowa… can you beat him?”
“ ’If it seems you can’t win, think about a way not to lose’. That’s what Captain said. I’ll manage somehow. Yup.”
Her optimistic words only made his shoulders droop.
“Now, let’s follow him!”
“Follow? There’s a desert ahead. He told me his base is in the Khan Oasis, surrounded by quicksand…”
“It will be fine, we have a strong ally!”
Nowa grinned, put her fingers to her lips and whistled.

Along with a rumble, huge scissors suddenly appeared, wading through the weed.
“Wha!”
It was the huge scorpion that had attacked Fio during the day.
“This child has no problem even walking on quicksand, so we’ll be fine as well.”
The girl straddled the back of the giant scorpion, with that large build equivalent to a carriage.
“T-That might be so, but…”
[Crossing the desert riding a scorpion…]
Nowa beckoned at him, and Fio could only let himself get swept away by the situation—one he never could have expected—and got on the back of the animal.
“Uwah.”
Feeling the rugged arachnid under him, he couldn’t suppress a surprised yelp. No matter how big it was, it wasn’t a creature intended to be ridden.

“Stand on your knees.”
Nowa asked a rather delicate balancing act from him.
“I don’t really think I can?”
“Then, I’ll borrow your back for a while.”
She tightly hugged him from behind. Barely bulging breasts pressed against him.
“Eh?”
The hug made his heart beat fast.
However, that was about the only reaction his body showed.

[Maybe it’s because I’ve been in contact with bigger mounds recently, like Leina’s and Tomoe’s, but… Even if I feel bad for Nowa saying this, I don’t feel any womanly charm from her body.]
“It’s ok, Nowa will support you so that you don’t fall.”
The little girl, not even coming close to imagining the incredibly rude thoughts going through his head, kept her balance on the creature’s back.
“Let’s go, Scorpi. Follow that star!”
Obeying her voice, the animal took off with the two of them under that desert bathed by the night. Following Devil Setra, that shooting star shining blue in the sky.
