Queen's Blade White Triangle: Beginner's Guide!

For the kinda depressing poll about the wikia censoring, "get our own site" won with 24v-68%, followed by "Miraheze" with 4v-11%, then "something like https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Queen%27s_Blade" with 3v-8%, and for the suggestions, we had "Move were you are free", "MediaWiki.org", "make wiki like this wiki.shinycolo.rs" and "fight it. unless they delete the GoT wikia too, its hypocrisy".
Thank you very much for your participation everybody, our wiki admin is on the case getting backups and stuff (it seems our site isn't in their sights yet, but who knows if that might change), and we'll inform you here if/when there are more news.

And now we're back to our silly polls, Bleach coming next!

So, now that we've had some time to play around with White Triangle, it's time to make a funky guide for beginner/intermediate stuff you can't easily figure out (even the japs have trouble with some explanations, it seems).

To start the game, you first have to go to Bandai Namco's page, press "Sign in" and register an account there. Everything's in english, but make sure you choose "Japan" as the place you live in, or it won't let you use it in the game.

Then, just go to White Triangle's URL to get started, and choose the 2nd button to use the Bandai Namco account you just registered. After that, it's just a matter of choosing your favorite girl, and following the tutorial, which is rather straightforward (note that I chose the 1st option to play as a guest instead, because the Bandai Namco ID page was in maintenance):

(Also, we chose Alleyne coz we thought Nowa was the "tamest" to vanquish, let's see if Youtube still considers it too spicy somehow and threatens to ban us anyway!!)

And here's some additional notes that might help you, along with some english mock-ups by our friend LuisFS! For starters, the home screen:

The character menu:

And as promised, some definitions and tips! Let me know if there's something missing :3

Gacha
-Tutorial gacha will invariably result in you getting your starter at 4-stars rank, and 2 more 4-stars with different attributes (may not be full attribute team, it’s recommended to choose the 2nd option to retry if you don’t get it)
-10 pull draw will result in a minimum of 1 4-stars or above

Attributes
-Strength (Orange)
-Technique (Green)
-Magic (Purple)
-They follow a rock-paper-scissors system, in descending order. Make sure you take a look at the opponents you face before each mission to set your fighters’ order accordingly

Spa Visits (unlocked after clearing 2-3, Melona icon)
-Useful for obtaining accessories every 2 hours, you can send any party of 3 (there’s a button that autoselects your strongest team). Rewards also include a bit of Energy
-Apparently there are time-limited visits either at certain hours of the day or after clearing some stages, that focus on a specific attribute and give better rewards (skill cards, for example)

Item Quests (unlocked after clearing 1-5 I think? Treasure icon)
-There are two quests with varying levels of difficulty each, one for Char XP ingredients, another for Gold. You can only complete each once per day

Character Quests
-These are quests you have to fight if you want to see the individual character’s story. You get character story 0 by them joining you (getting them in the gacha or vanquishing them after PKD), and character story 1 after 3 character quests (for further freetalks, you need to up their “loyalty” by vanquishing them dozens of times)

EX Quests (unlocked after clearing 2-10)
-Unlocks harder, shorter “What-If” stories between main chapters, apparently. You can’t go on with the main story unless you clear the respective EX Quest

Mercenary Guild (unlocked after clearing 3-5)
-Lets you set any character to you want (max 3, or 4 if you have Premium privileges) for as much time as you like to earn gold. Nets around 1800 gold per hour per char

Queen’s Arena
-You can set here a team of your strongest 3 (plus 6 for stats boost?), and fight your way up the ranking vs NPCs and other players’ teams, with plenty of jewels as rewards (just make sure you don’t fight opponents with a stronger level than yours unless you’re confident). You’re allowed to fight 5 times a day, and have to wait 20 mins of cooldown between battles (both limits can be overruled by paying jewels, not worth it in my opinion)
-Depending on your ranking, you can win a number of arena medals every hour. Below 500 you get 2, above 500 seems to be 3 (there might be more tiers here)

Character Cards
-You have to equip main attack cards on a character (1st tab) in order to use the character in battle. It’s recommended to choose the strongest card first, since that’s the one that will be used in the “Climax”/Triangle Combination (note the TC icon on it). 4 star attacks have a countdown of 2 turns, 5 stars need 4 turns instead. There are also rare defense cards to equip: Block (reduces some damage), Counter (attacks back instead of receiving damage) and Dodge (prevents receiving damage)
-As an important note, the attacks will deal more damage if you select them in 3rd order than in 2nd, and 2nd more than 1st
-You can also equip cards you’re not using as “sub” cards (2nd tab) for small stats boosts. Duplicate cards are allowed here

Skills
-You can equip those on characters (3rd tab), and use them in the “field” mode of battle (not during a fight) by pressing the SKILL button. You can only use them once per fight
-To improve them, you have to use up another of the same skill with the same grade

Accessories
-You can equip those on characters (4th tab) for boosts of various kinds. To upgrade them, you have to use up spare accessories you’re not equipping
-Unlike skills, you can't improve their star rating, just level them up. If you want stronger accessories, you're supposed to obtain silver and gold ones from more advanced spas (thanks to Anubite07 for the updated graphic)

Known Girls’ Locations (for vanquishing)
-Aldra: 1-9
-Elina: 2-6
-Nanael: 2-8
-Melona: 3-3
-Menace: 3-5
-Airi: 3-8
-Risty: 4-4
-Melpha: 4-6
-Leina: 4-8
-Mei: 4-9
-Tomoe: 5-4
-Ymir: 5-6
-Joan: 5-8

Affinity
-When one character fights with another for a number of times, their affinity will increase (max: 5). This increases the damage of the Triangle Combinations.

Vanquish Mode
-Here you can “punish” (liberate from their brainwashing, actually) the girls you do a Perfect Knock Down on. The more HP remaining the girls have when PKD’d, the more time you can spend here with them, and the more combos you can do. Filling the orange bar will make you enter “Fever”, where you can click 4 spots alternately with Perfect results
-The better vanquishing you do, the more points you’ll earn for the freetalks (3rd one seems unlocked after 2000 points)

Gift Codes
-Go to: https://enza.fun/menu/watchword, enter クイーンズブレイド (10 gacha tickets), 巨人殺し (10 jewels)
-It seems we're getting a new code each week, I'll try to keep them updated in one of the pinned posts of the WT channel at the Discord~

    1. I think it's the first time I see that location pic, so no...

And well, the story seems to revolve somehow about "Catboy", his familiar (helpfully called Familiar), and how the 3 new baddies go around brainwashing our girls... it's still waaaaay too soon for us to think about translating it. As always, there's only so much we can do with just 2 guys here...

  3. Thank you helped me clear up somethings, what I would like to know is how to increase the characters level cap.

  4. What’s the best area to farm for the “gemstones” that increases the level of the character cards?

  5. @Victor: Hm, sorry, we keep trying to find some of it to translate it ourselves, but we don't really have much luck...

@サイキッKu: You can level up your chars as much as your own level (big blue number up left), so the best way is to go on quests and spend your energy (each 1 energy spent means 1 XP won if you clear the stage)

@Anonymous: That's kind of the million-dollar question. There's no good zone for that, but I think you're supposed to grind normal stages (or PKD stages, that way you can get more freetalks as well)

      when will it come translated?

    3. Probably never? If we thought it could get translated, we wouldn't be translating the story ourselves...

    1. Well, no QB ones for sure... but there's plenty of gachas in the market, just take a look at r/gachagaming or similar.

  10. I really like the game, but after the December update I have a few problems. Is there a site with translations of various papers and effects and does it recommend any strategy?

    1. Our Discord has a whole section on WT with all kinds of info. It seems the meta right now might be Nowa and Melpha for the atk reduction and shield+healing powers respectively, maybe? That's the only way I've seen a guy beat world 10, so...

  11. I've been having a major problem of late with the new update. Every time I use the white triangle combo on boss characters the game crashes. robbing me of perfect knockdowns. :(
