In a kind of confusing release, where it was announced in the site a while ago but still isn't up there, the new design for Irma was unveiled!
Kind of reminds me of Zara somehow, with the skirt and the scarf covering her mouth. Considering how unpopular she has always been (unfortunately), guess a redesign was unavoidable anyways...
What do you fellas think of this one?

Oh Irma... WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU?!
ReplyDeleteThe traces of the old skimpy Irma outfit clashes with the new schoolgirl aesthetics pretty hard. The scarf might be kind of cool, but the ribbon in her hair and especially the skirt are SO out of place. With an outfit like that, I wonder if her personality has changed as well. She may represent the "silent and deadpan, but cute killer" trope.
ReplyDeleteAs a massive Irma fan, I must say that I expected worse. She may be the only character that had a major outfit change and still feels closely to her original version. I still prefer her original version, she looks more mature and more in line with the "women fighting like gladiators" theme.
ReplyDeleteWell I just hope that they didn't change her personnality.
DeleteAnd I pray for more reveals about the relationship irma/echidna on that OVA
wtf :(
ReplyDeleteMEH!! That scarf is so out of place!! Could've gave her a ninja mask instead.
ReplyDeleteYou can't see it in the image above, nor on the website either (unless you have a really wide screen), but the scarf has "claws" on the ends and presumably doubles as a weapon. How she keeps them from scraping on the ground is a bit of a mystery...
DeleteAnyway, I don't see the point of making her into a half-arsed ninja type in the first place, however similar her job description might be. It'll just annoy the REAL ninjas.
Not even Irma is immune to the curse of the ribbons...
