Megaupload: App + Media + Extra chars (update)
Sendspace: App + Media + Extra chars (update)
Fixed some minor bug that could happen at tag battles, and added the Gunslinger, from Lost Worlds, and the Secutor, a fan-made character.
The Gunslinger is close to what Queen's Gate Alice would become (though with various differences), and the Secutor is a gladiator who can ask for mercy if he's losing.
Coming next: from Warhammer Warriors, Kharn the Betrayer and Tyranid Warrior (after the Marvel heroes, it's time to adapt another incompatible series).
Captain Liliana and Branwen will be released in a matter of days; as usual, they'll be added as soon as possible.
Edit: from now on, I'll try to remember to add "update" links to the new characters that get added to the Media and Extra chars files from one version to another, as was pointed out in the comments.
Just letting you know that my Secutor is still a little rough around the edges. If anyone uses him and gets a weird result, please let me know.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I did notice when I was playing him against my other home-made gladiator, is that they tended to give up too quickly. But I think I can update the ai rules for them. I'll be contacting Daniel sometime soon about it.
hi, is there any incremental update files for the media and extra chars? Downloading the whole package everytime there's update is sure time and bandwidth consuming.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about providing incremental updates as well, my bad.
ReplyDeleteBut you're right, I'll edit the post.
As I mentioned above, I've designed another gladiator, the Secutor's typical opponent: the Retarius.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I've been swamped at work, so don't have "free" time to work on his ai & restrictions rules. Maybe within a couple of weeks I'll have him ready.
Another character I've designed is the four-armed character seen here: http://www.amazon.ca/Sword-Kregen-Dray-Prescot/dp/images/0879974850
I just started playing as of version 17.9, and I am totally hooked on your game. I didn't even know the physical game existed, yet alone a version you could play on the PC against an AI. And this was one of the kinds of games I was always wishing would be made, so a BIG thank you!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I noticed it on the last version, and it also happens in this one, when you are playing as The Thing and go to do his drop kick, it gives you an error every time. Just letting you know to do my part to make this game the best it can be!
I jut got another error. I was playing as Alice versus Elektra, and was about to pick a move, when it crashed and this error came up:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
Thanks a lot for the reports on the two bugs! (I think it's just a couple of restrictions that were miswritten, I might release a quick fix if I correct them soon).
ReplyDeleteAnd Bill, just let me know if you need help with the Retarius. I'll try to work on releasing your Mefto for the next time as well, but I might have to consult you about some specifics before he's done.
