Queen's Blade: Return of Amara, Prologue-b

Here we continue with our little angel's misadventures?

Enjoy!

It was Unphay’s turn to frown now.
“Of course I know, don’t be silly. She was the last princess in the, uh, Amara dynasty, which was destroyed a few thousand years ago. Really, rather than serving a dried-up mummy, you should serve me. It makes sense, especially since it’s a command straight from Heaven!”
[This must be what they mean when they say ‘like speaking in different languages’. It’s best to not get involved.]
He ignored the angel and focused on his work.
“While I’m here, I’ll give all the men in this oasis the honor of serving me!”
She declared triumphantly, not noticing Unphay was already ignoring her.
“That’s an unreasonable request, I fear.”
“Yeah.”

All the men within earshot of the angel’s declaration had gathered. They all wore the typical desert outfit - a loose black coat and a turban wrapped around their head.
They were typical desert people, with one difference: where their forehead met their turbans, they wore a diadem decorated with a snake.
“You’re bothering poor Unphay. We prefer Lady Menace watching over us to some angel bothering us.”
“Yeah.”
They looked up at the angel, comparing her with their mental image of Lady Menace.
“Yup, Lady Menace works better for me too.”
In no time flat, the angel blushed with indignation at their words.
“W-What do you mean? Don't you prefer a young, spunky Lady Angel like me to some random mummy?!”

The angel raised her voice, unable to endure how all the men kept refusing her.
“You say you're a Lady Angel... how should I put this?”
Unphay appealed for backup to the friends that had gathered.
“Right...”
“You can ask us to follow you all you like, but...”
They looked at each other, visibly distressed.
“What do you mean? There’s only men in this oasis! Such a cute and beautiful angel has descended, so you should be happier! Rejoice, dimwits!”
She flew over their heads, her skirt fluttering.

The angel was by no means ugly. She had greenish-blue eyes and hair that reminded one of the sky. Her body was as if a teenage girl’s body had frozen at its cutest and most beautiful. She was enveloped in a tidy, pure white camisole; calling her sensational would be no exaggeration.
If she hadn't been so arrogant, several of the men might have become her apostles right then.
However, her charms just didn't do the trick for the men living here.
“Have angels always been this annoying?”
Unphay only had intended to say that under his breath, not out loud.
“She's annoying, plus she wears polka-dots.”
“Polka-dots indeed.”
“Blue stripes beat polka-dots.”
“Yup, blue stripes rock.”

As they looked at her panties, they all agreed.
“What? Are you trying to say there’s some woman better than me?”
“Of course!”
They all replied together, in one voice.
“We are the people of Amara, our loyalty belongs to Princess Menace!”
“Grr! You sure replied fast there!”
The men’s reaction had only made the angel more and more heated.
“Okay, I’ve decided. If that’s how you want it, I’ll beat that Menace loser and open your eyes!”
The angel declared, spreading her pure white wings and flying to the temple located in the center of the oasis.
