Queen's Blade 10th Anniversary Tournament at Anime Fargo 2015

Hey there Queen’s Blade fans, the name’s Eradose.  You might have seen me lurking around here from time to time, but today, I have something really important to share with you guys.

For the 10th anniversary of the Queen’s Blade series, I’ll be hosting a Queen’s Blade tournament at the Anime Fargo 2015 convention (a special thanks to Final Agent for making the poster (Final Agent : You’re welcome)). The convention begins on Friday, September 19th, at the Baymont Inn & Suites Hotel (formerly known as the Doublewood Inn) in Fargo, North Dakota (yes, Fargo is a real city, no, it’s nothing like the movie). Registrations will take place on the opening day of the convention while the tournament itself will take place at 7PM on Saturday, September 19th. This will be a 16 player tournament, so make sure you register as soon as you can.

Queen's Blade Backstories: Despina & Dizzy

In the previous poll about fighting games and QB, "play once in a while" won with 35v-43%, then it was "play regularly" with 21v-26%. In the middle, "QB's suited for another genre" got 9v-11%, and "play at advanced level" got 8v-10%. Lastly, "rather watch it played" and "don't play but it's a good idea" got 5v-6% and 2v-2% respectively.
Lol, my always being a fan of fighting games made me add all sorts of funky things to the QBB game, right~

This week's poll features our eternal main char (soon to appear along our Alicia, too): we all more or less know Leina's story, but what do you think her deal is anyways?

For the previous poll, resurrecting Shizuka won with 32v-40%, while Anarista and Maria didn't trail that far behind with 27v-33% and 21v-26%. I'm a bit happy Maria did get that many votes, actually :3

So for next poll, shenanigans abound! These would be the first 3 QB girls released, that is...

About the quiz, in the end we got 53 participants, and only 14 of them got any of the 10 answers wrong, most in the 90-100% range, only like 3 in the 70-80%. So yeah, pretty easy after all, next one should be more of a challenge.

And next poll, who'd make a better resurrected fighter? Not an easy choice, that's for sure~

So about this week's post, we don't really use to do this, but I was asked not long ago in the wikia, so here it is, a collection of all the QB music CDs that I know of. Are there some hidden gems in there? Yes. Are any of the songs better than Buddy Body? Hm...~

Last poll about Senran Kagura, "like it" and "big fan" won with 28v-33% and 25v-30% respectively, followed by a tie between "neutral" and "never heard of  it" with 14v-16%, then "dislike" with 2v-2%. Can't say I follow the series much (yet), but Hibari for best gal, right? Hm, maybe I just have a thing for weird eyes...

And here's another part of the "new artists" poll, we still have more options you guys suggested, but I figured I might as well not give too many options at a time and keep 'em more compact.

For the previous poll about merchandising, "0 QB products" and "+10" won with 32v-43% and 18v-25% respectively, then "2-5 products", "only 1" and lastly "between 5-10", with 11v-15%, 9v-12% and 3v-4%. Hm, I guess that matches my latest inquiries, but isn't it still too little~?
So for next poll, apparently last week this Senran Kagura game came out, so my partner wanted to change topics for a change.

Anyways, here's Momo, the "QG that never was", no? Still, this is supposed to be the so-called "year of Wonder Momo", so I'd say we're right on time.
What will Jean learn from Momo?

Spiral Chaos Freetalks: Junko (2 of 2)

So for more Alice stuff, I posted the whole chapter 1 there at Baka-Tsuki, battle at Moscow! My pal complained about it needing more polishing, so just blame little old me for getting impatient~

Also VQ3 was released and sold out in major online stores in just a day, the cover does say "everybody loves it", doesn't it :3

As for the poll, in the end the winners were Eroquis, Masamune Shirow, Ogure Ito, Inazuma and Rebis, with 11v-16%, 10v-15%, 10v-15%, 9v-13% and 6v-9% respectively. Tosh and Yui Toshiki tied at 3v-4%, then Kotoyoshi Yumisuke with 2v-3%, then a multiple tie with Yamatogawa, Shiwasu no Okina and Amazume Ryuta at 1v-1%, and Sawao dead last with 0 votes. Still, there were many other authors suggested, so I guess we're up for another poll like this soon.
So next poll, how's your stance on monster girls? Ain't them all the rage lately?

Edit (09-27): VQ3 just came out in Japan (3 days in advance, even), lots of pics of the book and VQ4 ova already~

First, some promising news if you enjoyed our translations of the QG novel (and were too shy to comment? :3). We submitted it as a project at Baka-Tsuki, so if they don't turn it down and enough people get interested in it, it might be our best bet to get Alice's adventures going~

For last poll about the SC games, "played none" won with a resounding 52% (37 v), followed by "played both" with a 28% (20 v), then "played QG" and "played QB" with 10% and 8% respectively (7 and 6 v). I guess it's still more people having playing them than I expected~.
So next poll, Grimoire wishlist part 2, new ecchi artists everywhere. I figure if enough people vote "other" options, we can do a second round with those?

And now, this is technically the last QG, right? Her novels are quite solid though.

So the previous poll about QB's mechanics, resulted in 35% (24v) who never tried and 31% (21v) who didn't get it, while 19% (13v) have no problem with it and 13% (9v) barely manage, hmm, I wonder what to make of it... In any case, here's a new poll about the QB rulers, Mikado didn't get much of the spotlight now, did she...?

Also, I might have forgotten to mention last time, Cham has a wild, childlike speech, so we had to make an effort to make her sound a bit like that while natural enough.

And again, happy times with Ch... wait, did something weird happen in this one?

Last poll about QB/QG figures was quite close, with 38v (51%): Yes, 36v (49%): No. Whaat~, aren't they cute though? I got most of the Nendos myself... So for this next poll, a rare question about the original books. I didn't consider the mechanics that hard myself (if only a bit convoluted), but my partner disagrees, so what do you think?

So for the poll about Rebellion's tag teams, the Witch won with a 36.84%-21v, Eilin&Ymir and Tarnyang&Sainyang surprisingly tied with a 22.81%-13v, while Yuit&Vante lost with 17.54%-10 v. I guess the Witch still has it, then. So for next poll, a bit of a general one about story and ecchi!

And Mina second part, can Jean worm his way to her heart?

First, in case you didn't see, a couple days ago the QB site was updated with the proper announcement of VQ3 and VQ OVA4's teaser, plus Seiten was given an actual page.

And for the VQ poll, in the end "I love it" and "I mostly like it" won with 52%-51v and 20%-20v, "I'm neutral", "I mostly dislike it" and "I hate it" ending with 11%-11v, 9%-9v and 7%-7v, a better reception to them than we expected. So for the next poll, since the Rebellion girls seemed to be favorites (according to the post the other day, in any case), how about choosing between the new gimmick they added, the tag team characters?
