Queen's Blade: Return of Amara, Ch 1-e

For this week's news, FS posted a Valentine Echidna pic in his twitter:

And there seems to be an "extra" version if you become a member for a month? He's supposed to be drawing Luna Luna next, so if you're interested, don't miss it.

Now, we continue Leina's fight against the desert spirits!

Enjoy!

Leina put away her normal sword, and reached for the other one.
“How long would the test be?”
“Until you're lying in the sand.”
The warrior slowly raised the sword to eye level.
“Ha-haa, now that’s a good answer!”
The Devil Setra grinned, and waved his right hand. In response to the attack signal, the Nubias approached her from all sides.
“I thought I’d let ya know, but Nubia’s body is made of sand. You can’t beat him with normal weapons.”
He was speaking the truth. As Leina had already experienced a moment ago with her usual sword, she couldn’t slash through sand with it.
[However, a serenading sword is a different story...]

Making up her mind, she put her lips to the part of the sword that closely resembled a certain part of a man.
A beautiful melody turned into a shockwave and spread around her.
“Nguh!”
“Gyahn!”
Upon receiving the shockwave, the Nubias turned into sand in a flash, scattering away.
“Just as I thought!”
When he saw that, Fio made a fist.
[Now, it’s only Devil Setra remaining.]
He was glad Leina had made it through the pinch with his sword.
“Ooh, you got some curves on you, huh.”
In the face of the melody the sword was playing, the devil leered at the warrior, as if appraising her.

“Unfortunately for you, the great me ain’t an undead or a cursed item. That shan't work on me.”
She saw a flash of his stout arm. His strong fist approached her eyes.
“Eek!”
[I can’t dodge it!]
Leina closed her eyes and braced herself for the shock and pain.
However, contrary to her expectations, neither came.
Instead... what she felt was the cool and chilly night air brushing over her bare skin: in but a moment, the devil had stripped off the coat she was using as a disguise.
“Awesome...”
From atop the tree, a voice of admiration escaped Fio’s lips.
[What quick work! To remove a woman’s clothes without the person herself noticing!]

“...Wait, this is not the time to be impressed!”
Retorting at himself, the boy turned back to thinking of how he could help Leina.
“From the top, is it 88-60-85?”
After tearing off her coat, he moved beside her with a quick motion.
“Yup, nothing better than female warriors with some bounce to ‘em!”
[He’s unexpectedly quick.]
He completely overwhelmed her in both defense and speed. The enchanted Sword she was holding, her last ray of hope, was no better than a simple blade against him.
“Kuh!”

Although she had been left in her normal armor, she felt her skin flushing due to the humiliation of being stripped.
[It’s not embarrassing!]
She put strength into the hand holding her sword, to try and deal a blow to the devil.
[He’s standing right behind me. At that distance, I could hit him with my eyes closed. Just one blow will be fine. If my attack succeeds, I might be able to regain the flow of the fight.]
Fully believing in that, Leina swung her sword.
*Clang!*
The heiress thought she could feel a response... but her look turned to surprise in the blink of an eye.

“I... caught it.”
The devil was firmly clasping the blade of the Sword.
“Too bad.”
The sword made a grinding sound as he put more strength into the hands grabbing it.
“Ugh!”
Fio couldn’t hide the intense pain running through his body, and screamed. The sword that could be called the other half of his body was in the hands of that devil.
“Let go!”
“No way.”
The Devil Setra grinned. His arms shone in a pale light as they grabbed the sword.

“Sorry, but I’ll have you faint for a while!”
The pale glow changed into lightning.
“Electro Finger!!”
The electric attack at such a close range made Leina’s whole body rigid, and against her wishes, she let go of the Sword.
“Kyaaaaaah!!”
Fio’s scream overlapped with hers.
[Fio!!]
The warrior gave a voiceless scream.
There was nothing she could do. Feeling disappointed in herself for being defeated, before the overwhelming strength of the devil, Leina’s world became pure white.
