Queen's Blade Unlimited Story: Chapter 3-2a(2)

And here we continue our story, what's going to happen to Elina?

Enjoy!

Chapter 3: Beautiful Fighters, Vanquished (Part 2)

Echidna’s Strike (2)

“Yup, *that’s* the look I wanted to see.”
The snake woman admitted, facing the Vance girl.
[As long as I don’t get too careless, this match is in the bag. Michel interfering could have shaken things up, but Elina herself stopped him. She never knew she was lowering her chances of winning drastically.]
“You’ll regret not making this a Queen’s Blade match.”
Elina declared, preparing to charge at her again.
“I’m looking forward to that.”
The elf poised her snake sword.
[Regret? Now that would make this fight worthwhile.]
“Still, how about thinking before you act?”
“What’s there to think about?”
“The purpose of this fight.”

The mercenary’s words had this persuasive tone to them now.
“Li’l princess, do you really think you can defeat me? You *do* know what you’re actually capable of, so wouldn’t it be wiser if you hand him over obediently?”
“I vowed to protect him, so I can’t do that without a fight. It’s a ruler’s duty.”
[A ruler’s pride, is that it? I hope you’re ready to pay the price.]
“No room for negotiation, huh…?”
“If you’re willing to negotiate, why don’t we lower our weapons and try to reach a common ground?”
[She’s stalling just to keep me talking. Maybe she’s waiting for Airi to come as her backup… too bad she’s already dealt with.]
“A common ground, you say…?”
Leave it to a member of the Vance family to quickly get to the point in a negotiation.

“Sure, hand that kid over, and we can leave this behind us.”
“So what do I gain from that?”
“Your safety… you’ll be able to walk away from this unscathed. Isn’t this a pretty good offer?”
“Obviously not.”
Even as she kept the talk going, Elina kept her distance, adjusting her stance minutely. She wouldn’t let the conversation distract her and risk her opponent gaining a way in.
[The Vance sisters sure have this ingrained into their heads. When you compare them with other beautiful fighters out there, it’s night and day.
Of course, it also extends to me: get careless, and you’re done for.]
“Then, I suppose we can only fight.”

Echidna raised her shield and charged at Elina. The latter rotated on her foot, trying to avoid the attack with minimal movement. It was quite a beautiful maneuver.
However, the shield wasn’t to be used merely for defense.
The elf bashed her opponent. Instead of doing a large jump back to avoid it, Elina lowered her body and let it go over her head. It was a precise move that let her shift from defense to offense, without changing the distance between both fighters.
“Pretty good, aren’t you.”
“Should I thank you for your praise?”

[She’s still calm enough to crack jokes. She might have more potential than her two sisters, if I were to ever train her as my disciple. You can tell she’s acting while thinking two or three steps ahead.
This is where I would go: ‘I want to see what kind of moves she has’... and probably, when I’d drop my guard around her. But no, playtime is over.]
The elf reached into her abundant breasts, and took hold of a silver sphere. Then, she casually tossed it at the blonde.
Elina’s reaction was quick: she never even considered dodging it, she promptly cleaved it into two with her weapon.
And the expected motion made Echidna’s mouth twist into a grin.

“Wha!”
Elina screamed in surprise: the two halves of the ball had scattered into pieces, bathing her in a fine layer of some kind of debris.
“What’s this?”
“Good thing you’re so predictable.”
The silver ball would have had no effect if the Vance girl had merely stepped aside. It was a magic item that only activated after being hit. It was also one of Echidna’s favorite toys.
“Eh? Eeeeh?”
Elina started to wriggle her body, restless.
“*Giggle*, here it comes.”

“What IS this?”
Elina felt like a myriad of bugs were crawling all over her skin… and she was at wit’s end. They all had come from the silver sphere: innumerable, wriggling fragments of it had clung to her skin, and turning into snakes the size of a nail, they now brazenly stimulated every sensitive part: neck, breasts, sides, inner thighs.
“Hiah!”
The mere feeling was about enough to bring her to her knees.
“Y-You coward…”

It was easy to see her flushed cheeks, due to the minute movements of the snakes crawling from her torso into her breasts.
“Oh myy, now that’s an even better look for you.”
The elf’s laughter overlapped with the other’s voice.
[The Vance house, Elina’s family, is an important customer of mine. But eh, I think the Earl should let this slide; it’s not like I’m trying to kill her or anything, it’s just a nice serving of humiliation for a naughty runaway girl.]
“If you give up, I’ll stop the snakes. How about it?”
“S-Surrender? Just who do you think…?”

As she spoke, the snakes that had crawled into her clothes approached her sensitive bits. Under any other circumstance, she’d hurry to swat them off her… but letting go of her weapon to do so would spell her defeat on the spot.
“I’m not giving up that easily!”
Sucking up her shame, she shot her steel wire at the elf. She intended to catch and immobilize her, to force her into getting rid of those disgusting magical snakes.

“Ahaha, where are you aiming at?”
But reality was a harsh mistress.
Fired from such an unsteady stance, the steel wire had no momentum behind it.
So Echidna simply dodged it, and Elina found herself in the range of the snake sword.
“Well? Ready to show your big sister how embarrassed you can get?”
A flash of the snake sword flicked off the long spear.
“Ah!?”
The harassment from the magic snakes had drained her strength. Her weapon flew a surprising distance away… and she wouldn’t be recovering it any time soon.
Elina bit her lips; that was the kind of blunder she should have never made.
