The battle in Maramaks continues, and we finish the second part of three...?
Enjoy!
“Looks like I made it just in time.”
In her position overlooking the battlefield, Nyx raised Funikura overhead.
[The way I use it, Lord Funikura’s power attacks wide areas with a devastating might.]
It wasn’t suited for those kinds of close-ranged battles.
“Lord Funikura, I have a debt to settle with that girl.”
Back when she attacked Cattleya according to Rana’s wishes, Elina had acted as mediator in the argument. And the blonde had let her off the hook without ever blaming her.
“That time, Elina called me an ally of justice. That’s why...”
She made a wish towards the staff in her hand.
“Please lend me the strength to become one, Lord Funikura.”
Along with her words, a powerful flame arose from the tentacles and eye of the weapon.
“Eat this, the fire of justice of the Mistress of Flame Nyx! Phoenix Moon Seal (Summon Phoenix)!”
***
[She’s beautiful.]
No matter how many times they faced each other, Leina kept thinking so of her enemy.
Considering the fact that even the heiress felt that way, it really was no wonder her foe had ended up attracting droves of men. They couldn’t resist her.
The main reason was that beauty the Demon had. However, that wouldn’t work on Leina; she knew that the kind of beauty before her was just superficial.
“Teeyaaaaaaah!”
Following her shout full of excitement, she swung down her sword with the momentum from her rush.
Cleaving her in two.
Her strike devoid of hesitation bisected the Demon in half, her body scattering and bursting into flames at a cellular level.
A bit of a disappointing ending.
“Is this the end?”
The lack of resistance from her sword-wielding arm confused her.
“No, this means...!?”
What Leina had defeated was not its true body anymore. As proof, Maramaks was still full of evil spirits.
“Elina!”
The Demon’s body had already transferred its consciousness to Michel.
“How could this be?! I can’t believe it!”

A flock of demons stood in Elina’s way, but suddenly a flaming bird dove into them, making them flare up and turn to ashes.
“That’s...?”
Looking far away in the battlefield, she was able to see a witch in a red dress using a suspicious staff to manipulate that fire bird.
“It’s you... I’m not going to thank you. If you’re an ally of justice, it’s only natural for you to help.”
After giving a glance to the magician, the blonde ran towards the boy.
“Return to your senses!”
Her long spear approached his throat.
“Or else what, will thou slay me? In this body?”
Her weapon stopped before his words.
“Even if the Demon that is me disappears as a result, will thou hurt this body?”
He held the weapon pointed at him, making a wicked smile.
“Even if I injure you, the flute...”
“The flute no longer exists. That’s why I was able to regain my true nature!”
Simultaneously as his declaration, the boy’s figure transformed. Huge wings and horns that gave awe to anyone seeing them, a voluptuous body that could captivate any man in the world; that was the same Demon Leina had been fighting there all along.
“Kuh!”
The younger sister tried to pull back her weapon, but the creature had strength beyond human capabilities; the long spear just stayed there, as if a boulder was fixing it in place.
It wasn’t the kind of power a woman with fine arms as the Demon would seem to have, it was more in line with what giants could accomplish.
“Elina, become my follower!”
The Demon’s eyes shone bright blue. It was the same devilish brilliance which had once enslaved Cattleya, forcing her into submission.
“I refuse!”
Elina released her spear, and slashed at her foe with her iron claw.
Now that she no longer looked like the boy, all hesitation was gone from her attacks.
With the angel’s blessing she had received at the same time her armor was restored, the iron claw carrying the sacred force cut through the other’s plump breast.
“Guh! Thou WOULD hurt me!?”
Astonished, the creature let go of the spear.
“Michel! Show some guts here!”
She called to the boy, captured as he was by her foe.
“If you don’t, you’ll get killed here with the Demon!”
That’s when the Demon stopped moving.
However, they were at a stalemate. The blonde might have received a divine power, but her iron nails alone wouldn’t be enough to defeat the evil creature. Not to mention saving Michel either.
“Elina... I got a good idea.”
Melona whispered.
“Fine, I’ll gamble on you. What do you want me to do?”
“Go defeat the Demon! After that, I’ll take on Michel myself.”
“Okay, I won’t hold back.”
Poising the spear the creature had released, the Vance girl smiled.
“Kuh... you still go against me...”
The woman grimaced, feeling the boy’s resistance.
“Go ahead... I doubt thou all can kill me with those weapons thou possess however.”
“No, but MY weapon can!”
The younger sister fired the wire fit into her spear. Bending as a whip, it restrained the other’s body.
“Elina, catch this!”
Leina’s sword—the very weapon that had cleaved the monster’s body in two—flew towards her.
“Thanks, Big Sister!”
She pierced her spear into the ground, and caught the sword in midair. As the sword Nanael had given Leina to defeat the Demon, that was the weapon that could vanquish it for sure.
“W-Why you...”
“Michel! Give it your best effort!”
The sword pierced the chest of the immobile creature.
With its heart—the organ responsible for its regeneration—destroyed, the Demon could only find death.
“Gh, gaaaaaaah!”
The evil creature’s scream echoed throughout Maramaks.
And its death would mean the death of the kid who had been absorbed within.
“Now, leave it to me!”
The shapeshifter spread her body wide and swallowed the creature at once.
“Nkh... this is... surprisingly... ahn.”
Having absorbed their foe into her body, Melona let out a lustrous voice.
“Melona, just what are you...?”
“*Giggle*, I’m going to become a mommy.”
She stroked her bloated abdomen as she said so.
“I came up with it when I spread on the demonic beast’s surface to restrain it. If the Demon is inside me, I wonder if I can’t restructure how she and Michel are linked.”
“But if you do that, you’ll...”
The Demon parts would mostly remain inside Melona in that case.
[Won’t Melona become the Demon eventually then?]
“If it’s for a friend, I can sacrifice myself. It’s the same thing as when you picked a fight with Nanael, isn’t it, Elina?”
The pink girl looked at her with a compassionate look.
“Nh... it’ll be born soon. Not the Demon, a new Michel.”
***
“Okay, good work there.”
The angel came down from the sky and hovered over Leina.
“Congrats, the longstanding Demon seal is now finished! Now that its body is defeated, we’re pretty much done here.”
“Will it really be defeated? What if there’s a main body separately hidden underground or something?”
As an answer to her question, Nanael pointed to the hourglass in the sky.
“The sand... has stopped.”
“Yes, since the sand has stopped, it means that this space has finished its role of sealing the Demon.”
The successive battles Queens had undertaken to scrape off the creature’s power had finally come to fruition.
“That’s why I say, it’s all over now. Man, that was tiring.”
