While the sisters are fighting in the other realm, what's our angel up to...?
Enjoy!
Nanael’s Decision
“This is bad, like REAL bad. What...”
Nanael was holding her head in front of the gate to Maramaks.
“What is the problem? Could you tell us?”
She heard a voice suddenly from below, and her eyes were quick to follow the direction:
“Y-You?”
It was the current Queen, Aldra, in a crimson battle costume.
Why would a queen who preferred to see her favorite Beautiful Fighters battle it out in the arena—rarely leaving her loyal palace—appear at that summit with the Maramaks gate?
“We don’t think we need to introduce ourselves, do we?”
“Ah, yeah, that’s fine, but...”
“Your face is asking the question of why we’re here.”
The young girl grinned, looking at the gate.
“We assume this gate to be the reason why you pressed for us to abdicate. And so we wanted to see it. However, we can’t see anything unusual in here at the moment... We can’t see what the Heaven hides.”
“The Heaven hides...”
The angel felt an inspiration from those words. Since Elina’s party had headed for Maramaks, she could come up with a good “excuse” to carry out the worst measure she had no choice but to.
“Yup, if it’s like this, the Head Angel might not even get on my case either...”
Since the Demon sealed in Maramaks was something secret, they forcibly had to keep it hidden.
Turning the issue on its head, they could just stop keeping it a secret. Every Beautiful Fighter she managed had a satisfactory ability as a candidate for Queen.
So if she threw them all in together and they destroyed the Demon completely, it wouldn’t be necessary anymore to keep Maramaks hidden.
“Yeah, let’s do this thing!”
Nanael jumped to the top of the Maramaks gate, and grandiloquently spread her arms, starting her call.
“By my name, gather here, o’ Beautiful Fighters!”
Michel’s Wish ~ Sisters’ United Front
The demonic beast had stopped moving. It was because Michel was resisting.
Fortunately, what could be called the Demon’s main body was exhausted after producing countless monsters to get rid of Leina, and was resting now.
Right now, the only subordinates of the Demon wriggling about in Maramaks were the beasts, the several giants Airi was trying to hold back, and the demonic beast that had captured the boy.
Even if they couldn’t defeat this demonic beast, they could just ignore it and go through it and the beasts to arrive at the very Demon; once there, a good slash could make all the difference. The chance of victory was at hand.
However, that required a ruthless decision to be made. Namely, leaving the boy to be absorbed by the demonic beast.
Elina seemed to be hesitating on that issue.
“What’s wrong?”
The captain straightened up when she heard her sister’s question.
“That kid isn’t just a normal human, is he?”
The heiress asked, looking up at the visibly distressed boy who kept on resisting the monster’s head.
The beasts and giants in Maramaks were all emerging from a single Demon. The moment it got hurt, it healed by re-assimilating them.
The fact that the demonic beast hadn’t crushed the boy but had opted to absorb him instead was the last piece of the puzzle Leina needed to figure it out.
[That boy IS a fragment of the Demon’s body...]
If so, the right thing to do was cut him down mercilessly. And she knew her younger sister was aware of what decision to make.
“If my guess is correct, then this is the perfect moment to destroy the demonic beast.”
“Still, that’s...”
“Now’s the right time to stop it from moving. If the demonic beast returns to the Demon and fuses back with it, we won’t be able to beat it anymore.”
Ruthless as it might sound, it was the truth. She was the first one who’d like to help that boy if possible. But, she knew that she didn’t have the authority to do so. It was entirely Elina’s decision to make.
“Lady... Elina...”
Seeing her mistress still hesitating, the boy spoke out to try and get her to make up her mind.
“Kill me, I don’t want to return to the Demon.”
“Michel, you...”
“I had fun travelling with you all. Lady Elina, I loved how you fought regardless of danger, protecting me despite me not knowing my own true identity.”
Even as his face showed the struggle, he kept talking, giving short breaths:
“But, at this rate, I’ll go back into the Demon... Lady Elina, if I turn back into it and kill or even hurt all of you, I won’t ever be able to forgive myself...”
Pain distorted his face now, as he begged for death.
“Please kill me while I hold down this thing... this demonic beast. If you do, you can defeat the Demon!”
Michel’s death would directly lead to the Demon’s death. His mind was set on sacrificing his life so they could end the Demon.
“What are you babbling about, Michel?”
