Queen's Blade Unlimited Story: Chapter 6-2a(2)

Elina and Nyx' battle continues, how's it going to end? Is there a way to cover someone's ears and eyes at the same time? You might find out here!

Enjoy!

“Now, I have some work to do myself.”
After having brought back Rana, Melona smiled mischievously, looking at Cattleya.
“Eh?”
“ ‘Micchi’, was it? Be a dear and cover Rana’s eyes, won’t you?”

“W-What?”
Confused, Cattleya put herself on guard.
“It’s okay, I’m not your enemy, you should relax.”
Losing her human appearance, the slime girl spread to the sides and enveloped the merchant.
“Ah, noo.”
The mother gave a small scream when she felt that creature wrapped around her whole body, wriggling every which way to explore her physique.
However, that was only at first. As she started exploring the inside of her clothes, her fine movement made Cattleya change her stifled screams into a different kind of sighs. From a voice of enduring in agony, to a barely suppressed heavy breathing as if holding back her flirtatious voice...

“Ah, it’s not good to let children hear this, don’t you think?”
Guessing Melona’s intentions, Michel covered not only Rana’s eyes, but did his best to block his ears too.
“W-What are you doing?”
“I’m sorry, Rana, I’m really sorry.”
As he apologized, the odd boy couldn’t keep his eyes away from the scene unfolding before him.
Liquified as she was, the slime girl explored every corner of Cattleya’s plump flesh. Every time she felt Melona’s body crawling on her, the merchant’s cheeks went redder and she let out an ardent sigh.
He couldn’t possibly let Rana see... that lascivious appearance of his mother.

“Burn!”

Fireballs approached Elina.
“That’s just evidence that you aren’t confident enough to release a big move, isn’t it?”
The Vance girl dodged the fireballs in the nick of time, shortening their distance.
Speed wise, Elina was faster. However, the one who could release more attacks at a time was the magician.
“Lord Funikura!”
Small fireballs scattered from the innumerable tentacles.

If an ordinary fireball attacked one wide point, a small fireball would only attack its surface. If Elina had a large sword like Cattleya’s, she’d repel them like a shield. However, her long spear made it difficult for her to repel surface attacks.
She could try rotating it like before and repelling them with the wind pressure caused by the centrifugal force, but she dared not attempt that.
“Better get ready, you won’t get away with just a few burns!”
Funikura’s tentacles ignited two, three small fireballs. Even if Elina dodged the first one, the magician intended to bring her foe down with consecutive attacks.
The power of one shot was low, but the pain of burnt skin blunted one’s judgment and momentum.

“Lord Funikura this, Lord Funikura that, can you get any noisier?”
Making use of her superior physical abilities, the blonde thrust her staff after dodging the first blow. She wouldn’t be able to thrust quickly enough if she had been rotating it.
The abnormal staff saw an ultra-high thrust that prioritized attack over defense, felt the emergency it was in and narrowed its eyes. And Elina didn’t miss how the staff’s reaction made Nyx’ attacks felt into disarray.
It came down to a difference in battle experience. The one the blonde was aiming for wasn’t the magician, but her staff—her source of magic. Without it, the Vance girl had nothing to fear from the plebeian.
[Here’s my chance of victory.]
The very moment she thought that, she felt an impact to her flank, coming from an unexpected direction.
“Guhah!”

It was Nyx’ knee, sinking into her flank.
“Y-You got careless, o’ young lady.”
Grinning, she shot yet another kick.
“Before I met Lord Funikura, I was fighting using my own body.”
Bending her long legs, she brought forth more strength.
However, the blonde wouldn’t let herself get kicked twice; bringing her body closer to the ground, she avoided Nyx’ roundhouse kick.
...Yet, that very roundhouse kick was just a distraction for her actual attack: with the momentum at whiffing her attack, she rotated her body and stuck Funikura out. It had finished conjuring up a fireball.
“Vanish, o’ young lady!”
A fireball explosion at point blank.

Of course, Nyx didn’t get away scot-free either: she got blown away by the impact of the attack she herself had released and got thrown into the ground.
“*Cough, cough*. H-How’s that? Did you see how even a plebeian can beat you, o’ young lady?”
With a slight cough, the magician turned to the explosion point.
...And there, she saw Elina calmly standing.
“That’s impossible?”
“It’s not impossible or anything, this is real.”
The Vance girl smiled and threw her long spear at Nyx.
After her staff had released that attack, she didn’t have enough energy remaining to make yet another fireball.  Imagining herself pierced by the weapon, she closed her eyes.
...However, the pain didn’t come; the launched spear was stuck between her thighs. If its aim had been even slightly off, it’d have pierced her through her lower abdomen.
“W-Why?”

As an answer to her question, Elina only turned to look at Cattleya and Rana in silence.
“I don’t know all the details, but you probably were acting by that child’s request, right?”
‘I only wanted to help you, Rana.’
The Vance girl had gotten a rough idea of the situation back when she heard that.
“Someone who moves according to a child’s wish can’t end up bloodied in front of him.”
“Kuh... just kill me! I won’t accept your pity again!”
“I won’t kill you. If I killed you for this, an ally of justice would disappear from this world, wouldn’t she?”
The magician gave a deep sigh when she heard that.
“That’s why... I hate nobles.”
After her murmur, she turned to Nanael, who was watching the battle from the heavens.
“This is my loss, Lady Angel.”
“Winner: Inescapable Shadow Elina! The loser should comply with the winner’s wish and leave immediately.”
Nanael’s voice resounded in the village that had become their battlefield.
Tasting the feeling of victory after such a long time, Elina clenched her fist subtly enough for no one to notice.
